About Irving Public
In the Heights Since 2022
Irving Public is a neighborhood bar and kitchen in The Jersey City Heights. Pulling from our deep NJ roots, we hope to honor the long tavern tradition of our community. The décor around the rooms reflects that connection, recalling the streets, scenes, and events of Jersey’s history. Special places in the imagery of NJ include the famous musical acts Bon Jovi, Kool & the Gang, and the Boss, Bruce Springsteen. And yeah, the green and white is ubiquitous, whether in the form of Jets memorabilia or the kid-favorite Hess Truck collection. The Jets are definitely the home team here, although all fans are more than welcome.
Irving Public is brought to you by the group that brought Jersey City the Keyhole Bar, Grace O’Malley’s, Dorrian’s Red Hand, and Legends FC. It has been our pleasure and passion to serve Jersey City for almost 30 years.
The Kitchen at Irving Public
Irving Public is the quintessential neighborhood haunt. Perfect for a quiet weeknight or a raucous Saturday, our kitchen features all the tavern staples, including juicy burgers, traditional Buffalo wings, salads, and piled-high nachos. At the heart of our operation, though, are the smoked meats. Slow-smoked pastrami, turkey, and roast beef comprise the anchors of our signature sandwiches. Find a Reuben to rival those at the best delis in NYC, a turkey club stacked high to the rooftops, or the New Jersey legend, the Jersey Joe, which combines all of the above!
